Seminar-Inhalt / Agenda

  1. Find and effectively utilize resources such as the MySQL website, the online reference manual, mailing lists and others
  2. Understand the fundamentals of relational databases and the client/server concept
  3. List the major features of MaxDB
  4. Perform a MaxDB installation on Windows or Linux
  5. Use the graphical clients to connect with the MaxDB server and execute commands
  6. Perform a backup, recovery and check routine
  7. Handling database monitoring and the addition and settings of data and log volumes
  8. Understand the advanced server features like High Availability, Snapshots and MaxDB Eventing
  9. Have the ability to handle optimization tasks, like understanding memory areas and locks
  10. Understand and use the Database Analyzer tool for checking how a MaxDB instance can be improved
